After last year’s success, Frostgun is once again gathering the world’s top athletes on skis and snowboards in Val d’Isère, France for the only LIVE TV broadcast Big Air competition in Europe. Frostgun Invitational is taking place from the 16th to the 18th of February and is an official stop on the World Snowboard Tour and AFP freeski world tour.
With a massive prize purse of $ 60,000 USD, the invited athletes will, while the lights are on and the cameras rolling, compete in front of 10,000 people on the amazing, custom-built, 13 meter- high and 30-meter long Frostgun Kicker.
Superstar athletes from all over the world have confirmed their appearance, and names like snowboarders Emil Ulsletten (NOR) and 3 x world champion Peetu Piiroinen (FIN) have already confirmed their presence for this year. On skis the Swiss wonder-boy Elias Ambuhl, Olympic medalist Nick Goepper (USA) and X-Games gold medallist Vincent Gagnier (CAN) will be all back in beau ful Val d’Isère this February.
