The first electric skateboard we’ll take a look at is the Bamboo One.  This board gets it name from the number of motors it has.  Unlike the other Evolve boards the Bamboo One has just one motor, but don’t let that fool you.  It still has a lot of power and speed to offer.

Let’s get right down to it, of course this is the first question we’ll answer because it’s the first one we often ask.  The Bamboo One has a top speed of 22mph and could hit higher speeds if you decide to change the wheel size to a larger wheel.

What type of motor does the Bamboo one have?

The Bamboo One comes with a powerful 2000 watt sensored brushless outrunner motor.  This gives it that ability climb hills at up to a 20% grade  on this single drive system as well as creating a smooth acceleration and braking experience.  The motor is powered by a  36 volt, 7 AH lithium ion battery giving you the ability to take your board for a nice long cruise of up to 21 miles with an average rider of about 185lbs.

Who is the Bamboo One designed for?

This electric skateboard is designed for more experienced riders.  It can handle a maximum weight of  220 pounds.  

Bamboo GT Series Electric Skateboard Review

This is the next step up in the evolution of the Evolve Electric Skateboards.  The Bamboo GT Series is fast, but still built with bamboo to give it that true longboard feel that is so popular.  The Bamboo GT comes with the GT remote that features a digital LCD screen along with wider super carve trucks which give it stability while still enabling it for tight carves.

Like before the get right down to the one of the main features, speed of course.  This is the Bamboo GT Series has a top speed of up to 26mph depending on rider weight, battery power and the terrain you’re riding on.

The Bamboo GT Series is powered by 3000 watts of dual brushless motor power.  This gives it that ability climb hills at up to a 25% grade beating the Bamboo One with a 5% steeper incline.    on this single drive system as well as creating a smooth acceleration and braking experience.  The motor is powered by a  36 volt, 7 AH lithium ion battery giving you the ability to take your board for a nice long cruise of up to 21 miles with an average rider of about 185lbs.

Bamboo GTX Longboard Review

After the Bamboo GT comes the Bamboo GTX.  This board is similar to the GT in a lot of ways, so what’s the main difference?  The battery.  The Bamboo GTX comes with a battery designed to give it’s riders a max distance of about 31 miles compared to the GT which tops out at about 21 miles.  Also you’ll notice in the picture above a different style of wheels.  Both the Bamboo GT and the GTX have an offroad wheel option you can purchase to take your electric skateboarding to a whole new level.

Like the GT, the Bamboo GTX has a top speed of 26 mph, and as always that top speed will depend on your riding conditions, like terrain, rider weight, slope and more.

The Bamboo GTS comes fully equipped with a pair of gold plated 3000 watt high performance custom made sensored dual brush out-runner motors.
  They are powered by a 10AH lithium ion battery that provides the long distance riding of up to 31 miles.  There is also an option to buy a fast charger that will charge the battery 2.5 hours

Carbon GT Longboard Review

The Carbon GT electric skateboard is the top of the line board made by Evolve.  It comes with a superbly designed carbon fiber deck with all of the electronic components built right in, giving it a low profile look along with excellent control and stability for your ride.  The Evolve Carbon GT comes in two styles, an all terrain version and the traditional longboard street version.  Depending on your choice the board has different top speeds.  With it’s 36V Lithium battery you can expect a charge time of approximately 4-5 hours.  There is also an optional fast charger that will take this down to just 3 hours.

How fast is the Carbon GT Series?

The Carbon GT can reach speeds of up to 26 miles per hour.  That’s not all though, the 40 in longboard can climb hills that are up to a 25% gradient in its powerful GT mode

What type of motor does the Carbon GT have?

The Carbon GT comes fully equipped with 3000 watts of twin brushless motors.  When you add these to the powerful lithium battery you can plan for a ride of up to 18.5 miles give or take a little when factoring in the rider size and the terrain you’re riding on.
